Churches, corporate and education, move the AV in Colombia

juan montoya, ambientes inteligentes

Colombia. Ambientes Inteligentes is a company that operates in the professional market of audio, video and control throughout the Colombian territory through its AV and IT integrators that cover many markets, such as corporate, institutional government, education, commercial, transportation, entertainment, houses of prayer, hotels, among others.

Juan Montoya, UX Strategic manager of Intelligent Environments, said in conversation with AVI Latin America that among the sectors that operate, the Churches, the corporate and education are the ones that are most demanding technology and AV integration.

He commented that "The year started very well, January was a good month and February, although a little lower, was still strong. But we did notice a downward trend in March. April there was a rebound, it may be due to some specials that came to us. Projects in execution we can be working on about 6 or 7, and in the approval process there must be more than 20, but they have been in a slowdown process that worries us a bit. "

On the trends that are marking the future of the industry, he indicated that they are now taking fiber optics to more medium-sized audiovisual projects, due to the bandwidth that is being consumed and the distances that have to be covered.

"Our approach is to give you the tools so that not only network and security experts can handle these lines, which will give them greater responsiveness. Of course the lines of audio and video for meeting rooms are still a market that marks a lot, plus the usual hotels, bars, restaurants and commercial that have always been in our DNA, but now increasingly with the focus on networks, "he added.

Juan Montoya concluded about his expectations for InfoComm Show 2023 that "This year we attended ISE and found novelties in the part of greater handling in video resolutions, greater need to expand bandwidth and the almost constant use of networks in all products. We believe that at InfoComm we will find this same trend."
