Colombia. The professional audio monitor solutions manufacturer Focal, successfully toured the main cities of Colombia, in collaboration with Boutique Pro Audio, its official local distributor.
The Focal team, led by Vincent Moreuille, Global Sales Leader, and accompanied by Sound Engineer Andrés Millán, as well as Engineers Raúl Páez and Camilo Barreneche, embarked on a series of presentations, talks and critical listening sessions, highlighting the innovations and technologies implemented in their professional audio monitors.
The tour began in Bogota, with keynote presentations at the University of San Buenaventura and the University of Los Andes. The capital also witnessed an exclusive Dolby Atmos event in Palo Santo Atmos, which featured the participation of audio experts such as Camilo Silva, Juan Pablo Guzmán, Jorge López and Álvaro Valencia. Critical listening sessions at White Lemon Recording Studios highlighted technologies from the Alpha Evo, Shape, SM6 and ST6 series.
The next stop was Cali, where the ICESI University was the scene of a technological presentation and a conversation with the famous engineer Jorge Díaz, who has worked with artists of the stature of Carlos Vives and Sergio Vargas.
Barranquilla was not far behind, with a talk about Focal's products and listening sessions at Peregrino Media Studios.
The tour culminated in Medellín, with lectures at the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano ITM and the Institución Débora Arango. The city also hosted a Dolby Atmos session at Nebula Music, Jhomer Ríos' studio, with the presence of figures such as Juan Guillermo Aguilar aka Cosito, Juan Tamayo, Hostility, Jey Jiménez of El Faro and Juan Escobar of CODISCOS. The finishing touch was the critical listening session at Esteban Chavarriaga's La Luna recording studio, where technologies from the Alpha Evo, Shape, SM6 and ST6 series were presented, highlighting the combination of the Trio6 BE with the Sub12 ST6.
