International. For the realization of the most important football tournament that is played in Europe, the European Championship, the scenarios that will serve as a venue were intervened, giving relevance to the lighting.
Therefore, four stadiums in Poland and Ukraine appointed Osram to take charge of the intervention, seeking to achieve energy efficiency for the stadiums in Warsaw, Gdansk, Kiev and Lviv.
As explained by the CEO of the Company's General Lighting Business Unit, Klaus-Günter Vennemann, the largest intervention was made at the National Stadium in Warsaw, where 1,700 LED lights were located that will illuminate the ceiling with the colors of Poland, white and red, which will generate visibility from a great distance.
In addition, the façade of this stadium will become a large screen, on which the names of the players of the match on duty, the results of the matches and even games of lights will be projected, all thanks to a lighting management system.
On its roof, the Warsaw stadium has 450 lamps aimed at the field to improve the visual panorama of footballers, spectators and television cameras, which will be able to record all the images in HD quality. This lighting has the characteristic of being low consumption and high performance, as in the other three stadiums intervened.
In the Kiev stadium, which will host the final of the championship, they installed 30,000 high-power LEDs that illuminate the stairs in the entrance area and decorative in other areas of the enclosure, both indoors and outdoors.
