International. For its last Internal Commercial Symposium, held in Toulouse, the Airbus company used a sophisticated projection mapping configuration to improve the main presentation. The installation was based on real-time Ventuz graphics software.
The French agencies Master Films and Avant-Garde Imaging were commissioned to create the setting for the event, as well as the content of the presentation. They designed and installed a backdrop consisting of different elements, resulting in an unusual shape for the format of the presentation surface.
In order to create a projection in this difficult context, they used the real-time graphics software Ventuz 3D. Four HD projectors were used to create a projection that perfectly corresponded to the settings on stage.
Alongside this, four screens were installed throughout the room to enhance the audience viewing experience on the sides and back of the room. "We had to bring together a number of different elements at this event. Mapping on stage, satellite screens, an embedded live camera feed – all these individual parts had to operate as one. We used the Ventuz director app as a control center, and everything worked smoothly and reliably," explained David Schmitt, Technical Director of Master Films.
In addition, the main presentation of the commercial director was designed and created in Ventuz and was shown on the main stage, as well as the four satellite screens.
The wow effect requested by Airbus was well achieved using this elaborate configuration and design work. In fact, Airbus has already announced its commitment to work with Master Films and Avant-Garde Imaging on future projects.
