TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Colombia 2015 left its mark

Colombia. On November 10, 11 and 12 was held in Corferias, Bogotá, Tecnomultimedia InfoComm Colombia 2015. The trade fair that took place in Hall 3 of Corferias registered the visit of 4,274  visitors. There were a total of 3 days of exhibition that brought together the most representative manufacturers,  distributors and integrators of the sector and its technological developments. The fair has become the main showcase for companies in the sector to exhibit the latest technology and services for the industry.

"TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Colombia in 2015 is the example of an industry that is in clear growth, not only in Colombia, in general in most Latin American countries. There are increasing players in the AV industry in Latin America, which stand out for their innovation, quality of facilities and for being interested in having constant training," said Richard Santa, editor of AVI Latin America magazine.

It is the edition that has registered more visitors so far in this new stage of the event under the brand Tecnomultimedia InfoComm. The organizers of the event expressed their satisfaction with the large influx of public, as well as the exhibitors who met new business prospects on each day of the trade fair. "The growth registered in visitors to the trade fair, of around 17%, is a great indicator that the event has positioned itself with each edition and industry professionals are visiting us," said Albeiro Cortés, Commercial Coordinator of the Academic Program.

Academic program, knowledge and updating

The academic program had for the first time the innovative participation of CEDIA as an aupiciant of the conferences focused on the residential market of integration of technologies.

"Having the participation and support of associations that lead the updating and certifications in the industry, puts us in a privileged place," said Max Jaramillo, President of Latin Press, organizer of Tecnomultimedia InfoComm.

The academic congress was held on November 9, 10 and 11 at the Wyndham Hotel in Bogotá. Attendance at the Academic Congress registered a growth of 38.3% compared to the 2014 event. The Congress was made up of two academic programs prepared by the organization of the event:

– InfoComm Congress: focused on the integration of audio and video for the commercial sector, carried out by the prestigious InfoComm association. Academic program focused on certification courses.

– CEDIA Congress: focused on the integration of technologies for the residential sector.

Within the framework of the event, the award ceremony was held on November 10 to the winner of the second version of the AV Latino Contest, carried out by AVI LATINOAMÉRICA magazine and which seeks to recognize the best AV facilities in the region. This time the recognition was for the installation carried out in the Unasur Building in Ecuador.

Grupo CSI of Colombia and Equigrupo of Ecuador were the companies in charge of carrying out the audiovisual installation in this building that was inaugurated by 15 presidents of the same number of countries on December 5, 2014. The award was received within the framework of TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Colombia by Darío and Mauricio Ordoñez, father and son who were in charge of this

 installation.

The installation stands out because in just 123 days, with a team of more than 80 people including electronic engineers, mechatronic engineers, scenic lighting engineers, sound engineers and architects, this process was completed satisfactorily, providing the different actors of Unasur with an interactive space to present and debate their ideas with the support of the most

 advanced technology.
