Four projectors and the PTZ camera, the new Sony in ISE

ISE. Sony returns to ISE to reveal, through its slogan Beyond Definition, how it is able to inspire new work and learning habits its recent range of audiovisual solutions, and to encourage communication, collaboration and improved decision-making.

Solutions for the corporate and education sector
Sony's range of corporate and education solutions, capable of turning any environment into a creative place to work or learn, has been tailored to meet the specific needs of customers.

Sony continues to drive the use of laser light source technology on the market and will introduce its latest line of laser light source projectors (Z-Phosphor™) within the intermediate brightness range. It will offer two new 5000 and 6000 lumen models, designed for applications in a variety of environments, including educational, business and large venues. The new models are the VPL-FWZ65 (WXGA 6000 lm) and the VPL-FWZ60 (WXGA 5000 lm). Through them, it expands the current range of professional laser-based projectors to a total of 9 models, with a light output ranging from 2000 to 7000 lumens.

It will also introduce two new lamp projectors, the VPL-FW65 (WXGA 6300 lm) and the VPL-FW60 (WXGA 5200 lm), to offer users more options for installation applications, which may be more suitable for lamp-based projection. All four new models come equipped with BrightEra panel technology to reproduce rich, natural-looking colors.

Sony's collaborative meeting room solution, Vision Presenter, will also be showcased at ISE 2016 with touchscreen interaction. Presenter Vision brings together all your content on a single screen, creating dynamic presentations that can be controlled with a single finger. Sony will demonstrate how presenters can simultaneously collaborate and interact with audiences remotely just as they do with those present in the room, combining the Vision Presenter solution with a professional 75" BRAVIA® monitor, touchpad technology and an SRG-300SE camera, while source content is controlled from an Xperia Tablet.

Sony also highlights the latest developments in 4K laser simulation and display projectors at this year's exhibition, demonstrating the continuation of its leadership in technology products:

•    Demonstrations of the VPL-GTZ270 SXRD™ 4K Laser Projector: Two projectors with side-by-side display of 5000 lumens VPL-GTZ270, designed for planetariums, theme parks, museums and shops, will be used in an immersive area that incorporates edge fusion technology in 8K x 2K images. In addition, two VPL-GTZ270 models will be used in the impressive dome of the stand, offering visitors an immersive imaging experience thanks to Sony's 4K SXRD, laser light source and high-bandwidth signal processing technologies.

•    Ultra-short distance 4K laser projection with the VPL-GTZ1 model: The VPL-GTZ1 is a state-of-the-art projector for commercial and B2B applications where high-impact imaging is required to deliver completely innovative immersive experiences, such as in museum, simulation and training environments. With a brightness of 2000 lumens, the VPL-GTZ1 offers users excellent image quality and a low total cost of ownership, thanks to its estimated 20,000 maintenance-free operating hours*. Visitors to the stand will also discover how an anti-ambient light display can ensure high-quality 4K images in lighting conditions. In addition, Sony will also show at the stand a scenario of distribution in 4K and HD in real time through the IP workflow, and will do so using the projector as an example of a solid audiovisual distribution solution for large spaces with IP technology, which can be decentralized in different locations and formats, including Full HD and 4K.

In addition to its market-leading laser technology, Sony will highlight its remote video collaboration solutions for higher education and corporate environments, which make it easy to enjoy connectivity between multiple locations, as well as collaboration between staff, teachers and students. Visitors will be able to approach to see:

•    Sony's new SRG-120DS PTZ desktop camera, ideal for a variety of applications, from video conferencing to class recording. With a high-quality 12x optical zoom lens and the sensitive Exmor™ CMOS sensor, it delivers smooth and detailed full HD images of great sharpness. In addition, with the inclusion of a 3G-SDI video output, the SRG-120DS is the perfect complement for integration into large boardrooms and auditoriums that require longer-travel cables.

•    More control options for the SRG-120DU. The SRG-120DU desktop camera provides the versatile functionality of a high-quality PTZ camera in any meeting room or software client by a simple connection via a USB cable. In ISE, version 2 of this model will be incorporated, which will allow the transmission of HD video through USB 3.0 or USB 2.0, and which now supports V4L2 (video for Linux).

Solutions for audiovisual media
Sony will be exhibiting at ISE its range of solutions for audiovisual media, which adapt to all budgets and applications, such as business, educational and live event production environments.

It will focus on showcasing the compatibility of the all-in-one Anycast Touch AWS-750 portable live content producer with Sony's wide range of SRG and BRC remote cameras, creating the perfect combination that offers a low-cost, easy-to-handle live production solution.

Solutions for security and signage for shops
At ISE, Sony will also showcase its solutions for security and signage for retailers, and demonstrate its capabilities in signage content creation, security control and video monitoring, ideal for providing peace of mind to both retailers and security professionals.

Sony will present its new BRAVIA® touch solution for professional monitors in collaboration with PresTop, a leading manufacturer of interactive touch screen solutions. Together with PresTop, Sony will offer the retail digital signage monitors used in ISE's touch signage kiosks, allowing visitors to easily orient themselves at the ISE exhibition. BRAVIA® B2B monitors offer retailers an interactive, easy-to-use digital signage solution to develop closer customer relationships and strengthen brands. Through the combination of portrait orientation, advanced connectivity, touch interaction and the creation of TDM digital signage, the latest BRAVIA® B2B range allows users to interact directly with digital monitors at a low operating cost.

Another product highlighted in this section will be the SNC-VM772R, a 20 MP 4K IP camera designed for the most demanding conditions that incorporates high sensitivity, low bandwidth and incredible performance in low light conditions. Sony's IP camera technology allows you to maintain the best image quality on the market regardless of lighting conditions, while optimizing bandwidth and incorporating intelligent features, such as object detection and tracking, into a fully integrated package.
